JustRite Stamps

Today my cards are made with a Just Rite stamp set.  I must admit, I knew I liked the images but I didn't know how much I would like working with these stamps.  Honestly, I want more.  The first few cards I made I used the Beautiful Day Borders & Centers set.  I usually have an image as the focal point for my cards but I really loved using the sentiments as my centerpiece.  I was a nice change for me.
Here is a closer look at the sentiment.  I used the cracked glass technique on the frame.
For some reason it reminds me of being in a garden.  I liked the way it turned out.

Here is another version of the same sentiment.
I chose to go softer colors so of course I chose pink! I kept this card fairly simple.

I added only ribbon and a small rose for embellishment.  Check back tomorrow, I will have more to show you!

Geisha Anya

I had fun playing with Geisha Anya (my first Anya stamp). Here is an Easel Card using the Geisha Anya and a Hero Arts Fan stamp. I cut the shape of the card using a Sizzix Scalloped Octagon shape, then cut the asian background paper using a Sizzix Octagon shape a little smaller than the scalloped shape. The fans were stamped using VersaMark and embossed with Gold embossing powder. Anya was colored with Copic R29 Lipstick Red for the flowers and her sleves,100 Black for her hair and the obi, and E00 Skin White for her face. Hope you like how she turned out.

And here is the Easel card opened. I didn't add any words yet, but might if I decide to send her out to brighten someone's day.

Crafty Secrets

I love Crafty Secrets, really who doesn't ?  So, when I saw the new Farm Chicks stamp set I was looking forward to working with it.  I wanted to use earthy, subdued colors as I usually gravitate to pastel, very girlie colors.  I have also always liked the country French look so that is what I had in mind for these cards.

I think this large rooster head is my favorite of the stamp set.

I totally love the "first place" ribbon style embellishments I' am seeing everywhere so I had to try my hand at it.  The Grade A stamp was perfect for the center!

Just Rite Stampers

I am so excited about these stamps from Just Rite Stampers. You buy their mounting blocks and then the boarders and center saying are interchangeable. They come in round shapes and oval shapes, and give you endless possibilities. Here are a few cards I made today using two different sets, JB-09860 (ovals) and JB-09845 (rounds).

This first and second cards are stamped using a Kaleidacolor "Luau" Dye Ink Pad and Nestabilities Scalloped Oval die cuts.

The next card (round) was hand cut around the larger image before mounting. I also used some Pima flowers and an embossing folder by Sizzix and some little diamond accents in the center of the flowers.

And the last one, also using a selection from the round set, uses some paper lace from MRP Associates, which I've had laying around in my craft room for eons.....good way to use up some of those older supplies!

I can see so many possibilities with these interchangeable images. I'm already perusing their catalog to see what other stamp sets I have to have. Be sure to check out their website or check with Eva if you're interested in getting some of these fun stamps.

Our Crafts Lounge makes the cutest stamps and this floral set is no exception!

I thought it would be fun to show you two completely different style cards you can make using the set.

The birthday card on the left showcases the stamps used as paper-piecing.  I stamped the bold flowers and leaves in bright colors using a pretty brown ink and cut them out.  Then I made a background using the circle stamps that are included in the set to add a fun party look to the card.

The sentiment "Happy Birthday" is from Penny Black and is also available from Stampin' EJ. For the flower centers, I placed buttons and then put jumbo off-center pearls to add a touch of whimsy then popped the whole flower arrangement using foam tape.

For the second card I stamped using my black memento ink and then colored the flowers in various shades of gray. I outlined the flowers using my French Gray Prismacolor pencil to add a little depth and shadow.  Adding some rhinestones to the flower centers makes the flowers really stand out.  For a final touch I matted it with black to give an elegant appearance.
